The KM-520 from Hoshizaki is an update to their popular KM-515 crescent ice maker. The model still retains that KM-515’s slimline style for narrow installations, but comes in a 2″ shorter in depth. On top of that, the KM-520 produces more ice than the 515, coming in at 480 lbs of ice a day.
This update retains Hoshizaki’s patented evaporator plate design that guarantees each ice cube forms individually. This design eliminates the bridging of ice cubes, commonly found in square ice cube models. Km cubes’ crescent design allows liquid to flow over cubes rather than bounce off. This shape helps eliminate splashing and spills that end up costing businesses money in the long run. KM style ice cubes have been shown to save businesses 15% on their drink yield.
